Privacy Policy
Last updated: 22 October 2026
FreelanceINR is operated by Akshat Pegwar, Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India. This policy explains what data the extension and website handle.
Data stored only in your browser
Earnings you log, invoice details, your profile (name, address, GSTIN, PAN, LUT, bank details), goals, settings and proposal templates are stored only in your browser's extension storage. They are never sent to us or anyone else. Uninstalling the extension deletes them; use Dashboard → Settings → Download backup to keep a copy.
Pages you visit
On upwork.com and fiverr.com, the extension reads the page locally to find dollar amounts and payment rows so it can show rupee estimates. Page content is not stored on our servers or transmitted anywhere.
Exchange rate
The extension fetches the public USD→INR exchange rate from open.er-api.com. No personal data is included in that request.
Pro subscriptions
When you buy Pro, payment happens on Razorpay's secure page. Razorpay collects your payment details and contact information under its own privacy policy; we never see your card, UPI or bank details. Our license server stores only: a random license key, your plan, the Razorpay subscription ID, its status and renewal date. The extension sends only the license key and a random device ID (used to enforce the 3-browser limit) when checking your subscription.
Free trial and abuse prevention
When you start the free Pro trial, our server stores your IP address and the random device ID for up to 30 days, only to prevent the same person from starting repeated trials. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) also uses IP addresses briefly to rate-limit requests. IP addresses are not used for anything else.
What we don't do
- We don't sell or share personal data.
- We don't use analytics, tracking pixels or advertising cookies.
- We don't inject ads into websites.
Referral links
The extension may show referral links to payout providers. We may earn a commission if you sign up through them, at no extra cost to you.
Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may ask us to access, correct or delete data we hold about you (in practice, your license record). Email akshatpegwar5@gmail.com and we'll respond within 30 days.
